Worried About the Florida HB 843__

Do you know about the Florida HB 843??

The core mission of hospitals in Florida is delivering the right care at the right time.

Now, the introduction of Florida HB 843 requires hospitals to notify a patient’s primary care physician (PCP) or specialist, if they have one, within 24 hours of the patient’s admission and discharge from a hospital and to permit the PCP or specialist to consult in the development of the patient’s plan of care. Hospitals are also required to provide private physicians with a copy of the discharge summary within 14 days.
